My Own Planet

That's right, I have my own planet. In fact, my affairs there have kept me away from this blog. And you know what? I like it!

I'm saying goodbye to this blog. Planet Yaffa is officially my main blog. I'll leave this one around to refer people to my very own...

Planet Yaffa

Thank you. Enjoy!

Monday's Escapade

My nephews came over this weekend. The monkey got a fever, so Imah stayed home to watch over him. Frenchie (aka Pretty Boy) begged me to take him with me to dance on Monday. Unfortunately for him, I wasn't going to dance. Josi picked me up, and we went to visit the Girlz.

Eh-heh. After some nice mint ice cream, we followed the Girlz to a Rosh Chodesh (new moon) service. While eating, we listened to some CDs from dance class and soon were dancing. Josi taught C4 and I the dance to Suerte! (I love that music.)

After the service, we went back to the Girlz and watched The Scarlet Pimpernel. I love that movie now! Hahaha!

Eh, the movie was longer than I expected (that and we started it on the late side). Let's just say I got home after midnight.

So, I'm heading out with Josi again on Thursday; I'll be back sometime Friday. Thankfully, my friends don't ignore their birthdays like I do. ;)

And on a random note, I was someone's savior today...someone who is deathly afraid of insects. LOL!

Planet Yaffa

Oy, I'm crazy! I got myself another blog called Planet Yaffa. It will be serving as my home page for a while (since I decided my own domain name was not worth a new hat, high heels, or wallet (to match my MaryKay purse). Not that I got any of these items (except the wallet--thanks to my twin!!); I'm just saying, I'd like to have them...more than a domain name for a website I soon won't have time to maintain. Besides, I hear high heels are are good for a woman's legs--to make them look good too. *giggle*

Ahem! Anyway, about Planet Yaffa. I'll be using it to post most of my quiz results and fun stuff to pass along (memes and such). This blog will be reserved for personal use--what's going on in the life of Yaffa. Still, I've been posting some of that in my new blog. This Monday's dance class is there. (It's a bit choppy because I was tired and distracted.) Also, I recently joined the Tickle; some test results of mine are posted on Planet Yaffa.

Thank you. Enjoy!

Better...?

Well, the good news is: I felt so much better yesterday. The bad news is: I'm down a little today. Still, I was able to get on the computer today (obviously) and get some things done. Oh, yes, before I got sick, I got myself a yahoo IM! Here's a little fill-in-the-blank from Monday Madness. I'm off to watch Numb3rs.

1. I have a picture of a corral reef on my computer desktop.
2. There are two pictures hanging on my living room walls.
3. My big goal for this week is to get better.
4. I plan to visit several blogs this week.
5. The weather we're having right now is very breezy (my favorite!).
6. I really should stay off the computer more often (or not!).

Resting Up

I'm feeling sick as a dog, so I won't be around much for awhile. I'm going to deal with work, and then I'll be resting the rest of the time. I should also be resting up for a family visit this weekend.

Shalom.

Dance or Play Ball?

angelic   devilish

I'd give dance a 70-75% satisfaction rate (sorry, Joseph). I just wasn't in much of a dancing mood--despite the many cups of coffee. If my visiting friends weren't there, I don't know what I would have done. Unfortunately, my friend from Arizona didn't make it--but hopefully she'll get to come next week. Fortunately, C4 brought a couple of her sisters (no, sadly, my "twin" was not one of them) and she plans to come next week too!! *cheers*

Still, I had fun. There were some beach balls just laying in full view calling out to me. At first, I thought I'd better leave them alone (my tomboyish side has no regard for my lovely nails), but I couldn't resist the temptation for long--not with all that coffee in my system. I played ball with C4 and one of her sisters (Josi played for awhile too, but we proved too wild for her) until T (C4's sister) got injured as she and I both dived for the ball. When I got her some ice, she claimed she didn't need it. The other girls started taking it to eat, and somehow a stick-ice-down-your-friend's-shirt contest got started.

Yes. I had fun at dance. Hey, I did do Lo Ahavti Dai, Debka Kafrit, Hey Baby, Riverdance (!!).

It was miracle we got there at all. I have no sense of direction; I get lost in an apartment looking for the bathroom. I had excellent directions from Imah, and I still managed to get C4 off-track several times. Fortunately, we only got lost once on the way back home. Eh...I wonder if C4 did ok getting to her home?

Well, thank you, girls, for coming (and taking me with you, dealing with my terrible sense of direction)! Next week, I'm plotti--er, planning to have even more fun with you all!

First Dance in Too Long

Bubbly

I'm going to dance for the first time in about a month (blood drive, tired dance instructor, tired chaffeur, etc)! (Excuse the noise--that's me cheering and jumping for joy). As if that wasn't enough to get me excited, a close friend of mine (whose nickname is a common type of explosive) and a friend who now lives in Arizona are coming with me!! Of course, her majesty, Princess Josi will be there, too. (I pray that we do not dance the fast version of Dragostea Din Tei.)

To prepare, I shall now begin the first of several cups of coffee. Excuse me for a few minutes... Aaaaaaah...
